A rushing ambulance, a convoy of cop cars, and an onslaught of reporters descended upon Britney Spears? Beverly Hills home on Thursday night just as on January 3 when the ?Toxic? singer refused to relinquish custody of her sons. However, this time it was a more serious situation. According to reports, Britney tried to kill herself and has now been taken to UCLA Medical Center under a 5150 welfare hold.
Unlike last time, this time a seemingly cooperative Britney was whisked away to the hospital in a motorcade of emergency vehicles that stretched longer than a football field. Britney?s parents, Sam Lutfi,?boyfriend Adnan Ghalib and friend Alli Sims joined the singer at the UCLA Medical Center.
Her hospitalization follows a disturbing day that saw Britney up and active in the wee hours of the morning. According to a family member, Britney was ?on a manic high?; she had been up all night and didn?t sleep for the last 2 hours. Later in the afternoon, Britney met Adnan and was seen driving around Hollywood in a daze, seemingly half-asleep at the wheel, with her eyes buckling under their own weight.
